The Values of Expression Through Charlie Kirk

The Values of Expression seen through Charlie Kirk

First Amendment Right

Bill of Rights
The First Amendment has been used since before the written Constitution by Americans through politicians, civilians, soldiers, and immigrants to discuss their views and opinions on domestic and cultural issues. The First Amendment is designed for people to speak freely and to have a debate over differing beliefs and opinions. However, not everyone agrees with this, and some people resort to violence. Tragically on September 10, 2025, Republican activist Charlie Kirk was murdered by
someone with a sniper from 200 yards away for having differing beliefs. It is currently not known if the assassin is behind an organization or a personal motive. It is currently unknown the impact this situation will have on the people of the United States of America and whether people will understand how this could impact their right to free speech. There has been political division among people’s view of the assassination.

Right of Expression
Charlie Kirk, 1993-2025
This act of terrorism has raised a lot of awareness among the American people, especially young people who are more aware of gun violence and mass shootings due to this deadly politically motivated act. The American people have become concerned that they are losing their First Amendment rights to speak freely. The event that took place displayed that the First Amendment is not as protected as once thought. The assassination has also shown the true sides among the American divide by revealing who are more empathetic among people losing their lives over beliefs. People are desensitized to someone losing their life because of a different political position. The ability of exhibiting free speech in the United Stated States should be of use for everyone. For one's own opinion that is valued from him or herself which can be shared among other people who
have different beliefs. Without freedom to express opinion or expression there would be no criticism of the Government. If one is not able to question his government’s leadership then the Government wrongly has more power than its people. Charlie Kirk is a brilliant example of showing public expression of questioning Government but also sharing beliefs of a political ideology many people don't agree with. If Americans can’t accept each other's opinions, then the United States would fall under its citizens through there being no tolerance of people sharing their beliefs. Americans stand on being the home of many people from different backgrounds, beliefs, and lives which causes us to have the ability of sharing our beliefs.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Charlie Kirk is a chosen example of what it means for an American to rightly use his freedom of expression for his own beliefs and self-righteousness. This is what the United States is used for with the right of questioning Government, ordinance, and political parties legally.
